As kids, we made “pinky promises” to signify our commitment to the silly, yet very serious nature of our words. It was a way to build trust and bonds within friendships. Keeping that child-like faith, as Christians, we must never take a vow to God lightly. Vows made to God are binding; more serious than any promise made to another person. Always make your vows to God with great care because, as Pastor Dan teaches, only fools leave their vows unfulfilled, and God takes no pleasure in fools.
